About Us

Bath Anti-Cuts Alliance: The Bath Anti-Cuts Alliance was set up in September 2010 to fight the planned Con-Dem cuts to services, jobs and conditions in our working and community lives. Non-sectarian and non-party politics based, the group is comprised of students, workers, the unemployed, pensioners, claimants, socialists, anarchists and community activists. Rallying behind the slogans of "fatcats, bankers, politicians - we won't pay for their crisis!" and "no cuts anywhere", we rail against the insulting Tory millionaires' claims that "we are all in this together". They say 'cut back'? We say 'fight back'!

The campaign meets the first Tuesday of the month, 8pm, in the Ram public house on Widcombe High Street (though we may be changing meeting venue soon - please check before each meeting). The hour-long meetings are fairly informal, with a rotating chair and minute-taker, and all-comers can add to the agenda, which is composed at the beginning of each meeting.

The next meetings are Tuesday 7th May and Tuesday 4th June.
